Parallel Channels That Survive the Tokyo Open

Overnight channels drawn on thin liquidity can look precise and still fail within the first hour of the Tokyo cash open. The failure is not always a signal to flip bias; sometimes it is simply the market discovering a wider container.

In Channel Construction Lab we practice rebuilding after the open: keep the overnight midline as context, then seek a new parallel pair using the first solid swing after the auction settles. Expanding channels are allowed when successive highs and lows clearly diverge; forcing parallelism in that case invents false targets.

If you trade indexes or FX pairs active through Asia, rehearse this rebuild on at least ten recent opens before trusting it live. The skill is not prediction—it is updating structure without emotional attachment to the overnight draft.
